a lil surf in south FL.
haha. trying to get barreled right on the sand pretty much. It was small yesterday but for sure a few waves. So much better than nothing!
I got to shoot a few images in the water again! :)
Can't wait to own my own equipment so I can get used to the focus and functions.. but I'll take every chance I can get to shoot in the water. I think if I had a housing of my own I'd never leave the water. It's definitely on the list.
pretty lil waves.
well, south FL at least has beautiful water!
and its warm!

Kony 2012 and some BIG NEWS!
Tatum wanted to get out and get involved in the 2012 blanket the city event bringing awareness about what Joseph Kony is doing in Africa. We made a whole bunch of our own posters and slapped them up on everything we could last night in downtown St. Petersburg.
And crazy news!!! I'm engaged!!! to my babe! Love her to death.
Tatum Alexa Gordon, you are so gorgeous and the best!
where's a better place to celebrate than on the beach? no where.
Thats the big news in my life.
whooo hoo!!!
love you all!

Today's look back.
A few years ago... Pat Garvin perfectly balancing rocks at Strands Beach.
I came across some oldies today. Check 'em out.
Viktor Simco admiring his work of of balancing the largest rock he could find.
We didn't stack them all, actually, we only did a few smaller ones. There was a guy on the beach that had been working on these stacks all day long, when we came across it we had to have him teach us how. Pat was super into it and made a few really nice stacks of his own.
Ryan Paul too!! man, that was a sick day in the books.
I was still super rookie when it came to shooting surf. All I knew at this point was snowboarding and that the ocean was a beautiful thing to look at. Had I known better I would have been close ups of an amazing day at strands.
I remember that we all got super sunburned from not wearing shirts this day.. haha. except for Brandon Phillips, I don't think he can get sun burned... Well, this was a sick day and I wanted to share some of it. Thanks for checkin in.

Tropical lifestyles.
It's so hot in Florida all the time. You can't escape it no matter what, but the beaches are pretty sweet and it is a blessing to jump into clear blue water without ever even thinking about a wetsuit. :)
Tropical.
Outside Tatum's grandmas at night. The sickest place I have found in florida to relax and get away at.
Me and ma babe. :)
Sup tatum!
Today has such a pleasant surprise! It was super windy and the thought that there may be waves never even crossed my mind until I walked around a corner and saw WAVES! My backpack hit the sand and I went running for the water as fast as I could! So excited to play in 2ft windswell! A super nice lady on the beach even had a 7ft board and she let me use it, I didn't even have to ask! She offered when she saw me eying it up quick.. :) So sick! So I've now been able to surf in the gulf coast, pretty epic. The body surfing was the best though, epic lil barrels in super warm, clear blue water.
Tropical.
Hope you also had a great day!

Change of Scenery.
Plains of Utah.
Going through the hard drive today I started to come across photos I've taken from a few different area's of this country I've already been through this year. Travel... once it begins, I don't think it ever stops.
Island in Florida.
But still my favorite spot, my real back yard in Minnesota.
This world is so beautiful. I'm hoping I get to see more of it this year.
thanks for checkin in. :)

Egmont Key Island.
Some sights from a beautiful boat trip I was invited on yesterday.
Egmont key Island.
I wanted to build a hut out of the downed wood and live here the rest of my life.
Cool little path from the old forts that used to be.
one of the many fortresses that used to protect Tampa.
On our way back we went under this massive bridge.
It's amazing to see it from this angle.
So much better to be down here than up there.
and the best view of the pier at St. Petersburg.
Living the ocean life. :)
thanks for checkin in.
