Albee Layer.

Albee Layer, sick style.
The only person I've ever seen handplant a wave and ride away from it.
He's unbelievably good.

Awe Mazing.

Porter Hogan at Ho'Okipa.

I love looking back at photos.. This image would never be used for anything, the wave is too small and I'm too far away from porter. But, its beautiful! Its what surfing looks like while your out there. Not everyone in the water has a front row seat of a surfer trying to get as close as possible and smash a wave in their face. So we see this, the landscape, the colors, the water, the foam, the wave and the surfer. It only last a second and it usually stokes us out and makes us want to paddle to the line up even faster so that we get our chance to ride the next set of waves. Then while porter is paddling back out he gets to watch someone surf a wave and sees just how amazing, awe inspiring it all is! Cycle that feeling, share the stoke, ride some waves and spread Aloha. Enjoy the Beauty that is Creation! We were fearfully and wonderfully made, as is this world. Thank you Jesus!

This image makes me feel proud to be a photographer and stokes me out to share it with you.

Aloha.

Few Barrel shots from this Glassy Morning!

South Swell at La Perouse!

hey there reef.
Sketchy, but fun.

The morning sesh was ultra low tide.. We didn't take that into consideration before the mile hike to get to the brake, but oh well. We tried anyways and got a few good waves until the tide got so low that it was no longer safe to even be out there.. Full moon also brings high tides so we came back for that in the evening and scored.

 Here da pics.

Ben Raimo smashing backside on ow tide.

Nice. Thats surf.

I was here...

Evening sesh brought us better shape and bigger waves.

New friend Roque Calderon.
This guy can surf.

Almost some barrels out there.. it was trying but the wind was against us.

Friend zach from FL got brave and tried to tuck in this tuber.. More of a pincher.

Beautiful! Wow I love the elements.

Good surf for a sunday!

an endangered find.

Looks like a regular sea turtle, but if you take a close look you'll see that it is a hawksbill sea turtle! Found this guy on my adventures yesterday in Makena. There's an estimated 60,000 left in the world, so it's not as endangered as many people out here on the islands make it out to be, but it still is a rare find! A beautiful and fun find too!

thanks for lookin,

its a world of wonder down there.

Turtle Arches.. What a place!!
this was my first time in the water at this particular spot and I fell in love instantly. the arches and caves were amazing and there was even more life in the reef than most other spots I dive at. I caught an octopus but it out smarted me and bolted before I could get a good shot of it. Next time.

Well, hope you are getting out there and enjoying some life also!
take care,

nathaniel
