little rights at Big Lefts.

Joey Mattos!
checkin out the surf.

this one is funny.. kinda backwards I'd say.
I thought I was supposed to be shooting into the barrel that zach is surfing?

Aqua Glass.

Zach laid out the hugest spray right into my face.
It was the second time I got barreled today..

Some Honu's. Friends under the surface.
Don't hit them! They'll leave a ding or two...

Get pitted.

thanks for checkin in,

Aqua Dump and "the porthole".

Some of the finishing photos for Porter Hogan's "porthole" board.
Joey glassed this with me the past few evenings.. It's been really amazing seeing the finish of this board.  I've been watching this since day one, that first pass with the sander until the last few drips of resin were cleaned up on the sides. Its been an awesome experience.

Special thanks to Joey and Zach for putting so much time into this board. In a few weeks Porter will be out here on maui with myself searching for the best waves the island has to offer. We'll be able to see all the hard work that has been put into this board come to life as porter puts in his hard work using it. :) can't wait.

the "port hole".

The final touches on Porter's new board, the "port hole".

The product looks good! But we will see how it surfs this up-coming january when porter come out here to maui to ride it. Zach is a great shaper and this board looks so fun! So I am crossing my fingers hoping that we get some big swell in order for porter to get the best chance possible to really give this board a go.

Here is a video showing the finishing touches on the board.
Uncut raw edit. Why not. Take a look.

The last touch-ups on Porter Hogan's new board by Zach McCook, Seaworthy Shapes Hawaii.

It looks great! can't wait for january.

Zack McCook. Seaworthy Shapes.

Here are some images I shot the other night while making a video edit of Zach shaping Porter Hogan's Hawaii Board.

Its a  6'2", 18.5" x 2.2", with a 5" rounded squash tail.
Pretty legit deck.

Almost done.. Zach likes to do 2 sessions on a board so that he has time to think about while not feeling rushed. Good call.

I can't wait to see the final product and really can't wait to see porter rip on this board.
Aloha!
