These were from Singles day out. Brandon Larson and Krister Ralles, Sam Fenton and I put our commitment into snowboarding, not Valentines.

Austin's elbow had a run in with some nasty rocks at the bottom.

This spot was looking so perfect! I mean, best set-up we have ever done. The lighting was like day, the landing was groomed, the take off was made to be seshed hard for hours. It was on point! Two hits in and it was time to leave... that's just the way it is.

The past few days it has really warmed up and we are loosing snow fast.. I hate this time of year. It's getting time to button up the season here in MN and get going on long trips out west in search of more snow. I'm really hoping for some huge spring snow storms, keep the fingers crossed.

A great thanks to all involved the past few days! It was awesome seeing Riley again today, thanks for shooting man! Everyone else also: Brandon Lepasti for stacking more photos, Cody Beiersdorf, Austin Young, Sam Fenton, Krister Ralles, Danimals, Brandon Larson = Sickest crew. I'm letting the photos tell the stories.. time to get some rest and get back at it tomorrow.

Snow time with Gabby.

I was able to shoot with some new people this week! Jon Stark is filming a ton here in MN this year stacking footy for his movie project, "Working for the city."

People I had fun with this weekend were; Jon Stark, Colton Morgan, Jordan Michilot, Josh Parker, Kent Leng, and Gabby Maiden.

The temperature here in the Midwest really warmed up this weekend. Enough for Jon to film in a t-shirt! 40 degrees really feels warm. Also, thanks to Jordan for letting us crash at his place this weekend!

I hope the snow sticks around for at least 4 more weeks. I think it will. Keep sliding it sideways people!

Big post from Duluth.

Krister Ralles.

This last weekend a whole bunch of the Bald-e-gal crew was up in Duluth, MN. We did a ton of dd(Duluth driving), that's when we start by leaving the house then driving around Duluth for hours trying to find a spot. We tend to do a lot of dding in Duluth.

Krister Ralles, Brandon Larson and I got to the first spot a little early and there was jumps and jibs set up! What a find! A few hand plants and back flips went down just for my camera. I'm pretty stoked! I found out that it is really hard to shoot action photos in pitch black.. I'm sure they were feeling about the same with their riding. Worked out though.

We were later joined at this spot by Sam Fenton, Cody Beiersdorf, Brandon Lepasti, and then half of the town of Duluth walked by at some point loving what we were doing. Its sweet to have fans instead of getting kicked out of spots. Thanks citizens!

This was the first time I ever shot this rail. I shot its twin about five years ago. Glad to be back wayyy up north.

Jake Durham!

Duluth landscape is pretty epic at any point, day or night. It is a cold city in the winter, but we were blessed with the warmest temps I have ever shot in up there. Good to be at spots not having to dance my feet off to keep them on.

Following Theines threw Canal Park while doing some DD. Good sticker job.

I got to shoot with Mike Theines this weekend! I'm honored to shoot with the man himself!

Thanks to mike for making so much happen in the midwest every year. Thanks to all involved! Youth Shelter and all those guys.. making it all happen!

It was a great trip in the north. I think I have a few more pics to post out of the trip.. hopefully I'll get around to that tomorrow. 'Till then, goodnight and stay safe!

epic sunsets.

I've been going through my thousands and thousands of surf images the past two days trying to get my mind back into surf mode and cleaning up the useless images making room for more to come. I found this sunset pic from a day that Chris Williams and I went and shot in Huntington Beach. Seeing this makes me miss the beach, the sun, and the people a lot!

Sweet news is.. summer is around the corner...

SIA in CO.

Packing up the truck to head back to MN. It was a full bed!

On the way out to CO we had five people crammed into Viktor's Chevy Colorado. It wasn't something to complain about though, super fun times on the drive out. Gabby, Jake O-E, Viktor, Krister and I rolled out there early wed morning. SIA trip was on. Starting with early morning Denny's, unlimited pancakes for kritter brick.. Welcome to the chaos of SIA.

Outside of the convention center. Denver has some of the strangest art I have ever seen. Inside the center there are escalators that have a laughing sound tract playing constantly. It is the creepiest thing ever. I found myself yelling at them by the time I got to the bottom every time. Creepy.

As we were leaving downtown we were able to watch the sun dip behind the Rockies. Viktor driving us back to MN. No better way to leave than an epic CO sunset.

I have seen the sunset on the way there, and a few times leaving there.. It's always hard to drive away from the mountains knowing that I'm headed back to the flat lands of the Midwest. This year however wasn't that difficult for me. I was so excited to get back to MN to continue shooting this winter. Viktor and Krister both felt the same. It was an exciting drive knowing we were about to get back and go to work. Shred time!

On the way home we hit a snowstorm passing through southern Minnesota. We were tired and taking it easy while truckers were passing us for a change. Weighed down trucks can handle in the snow! It got scary a few times with the big rigs blowing by us.

We made it safe after a 20 hour drive home. Recovering and getting ready to finish the winter off well.

Thanks to all the friends I saw at SIA for good advice and good times. Get back to your homes safe and sound and enjoy the year!

Aslo.. sorry to those of you who got nailed in the head by beer cans on the dance floor at the nike party... That might have been a little immature on my part. My bad.
