Gettin real wild at Wild!

Day 2 of riding. It was full of turns and insane tricks. Can't even describe the stuff that goes down on the slopes these days. Seems like every kid has a bag full of tricks, and pretty much all of them ooze style. I've been impressed these last few days by the talent on the hill. So excited to see where it goes! Well, here are some more pics. enjoy!

1st day of shredding edit.

1st day of shredding for me this season! I cruised over to Wild Mountain to check out the pre-season snow. I was pleased to find that a lot of good friends were there to partake in the joyous ocasion with me! I feel like pre-season is some of the best riding a person can get in the midwest! Its kinda like a family re-union. Everyone shows up in their own fashion and throws down like its the way its been all summer. Hugs and high fives are flung around then off to the chair we go. The fun starts here.

Greeted by these guys! Scott and Ethan.

Wild Valley!

What more could you want when you pull into the parking lot? Good friends kickin it getting ready for the shred! I love the midwest!

Pregaming the game.

Awesome view.

Brandon Larson on the edge of a sick backlip!

Zack and Anthony. Are they watching the shredder? na, They're admiring the skills of the guys holding the ladder in the background. We watched them struggle at getting the rope up for the whole lift ride. Good times.

So sick!

I was just going through some of the piles of cd's I have collected over my years of shooting and came across this image. I don't even remember the year.. 06 or 07. It was a while ago! I think the first year that troll held the Midwest Massacre? Anyways, so awesome. Joe was still an up and comer while Ricky was killing it! Still one of my favorite video parts is Ricky's part in Burning Bridges... So good. I don't know. This photo kinda takes me back to all of it. The fresh start for the midwest and its ever growing influence in snowboarding. I guess thats what I think of. Joe Sexton, Jonas Michelot, Ricky Tucker and a few others charging it, making a path for a lot of kids to follow these days. Our hometown influences are awesome!

Family.

These kids are my Brothers. Each one is an awesome dude. I love being able to kick it with them.. they all have so much energy, each loves life.

On the way home tonight i realized something very important to me. I love going home. I never thought i would find myself thinking that. I never thought that i would be excited to say that home is my safety net. I realized that every time i turn on those familiar roads I smile. Knowing that I am so much closer to a place that i have confided in for so long.
Olson Rd. In quant little Sunrise, MN. I never even thought that I could ever wright something about this place. Her I am now saying that I owe so much to it.
I have Almost burned the back acres down with field fires. I have cut down and split hundreds of trees. I have raised and butchered chickens and turkey's. Collected the eggs of the chickens that stay. I give away kittens when farm cats have to many. I've shot predators to protect our flocks. I split wood to heat our home.

This thought came to me after I had the privilege of shooting photos with my family. I have shot a few pics of my little brothers from time to time. I have never purposed to make an album from it though. This last Sunday I did just that however.
I was not sure what to do with them. Really I had no clue where to start. Then, when I took out my camera they did all the work for me. I started with some shots of them running around in the woods, then worked my way to portrait style shots. Each one of them did their own thing, and I am so proud of them because they did it well! My youngest brother Isaac was very excited to have his pictures taken. It was so fun to shoot with him! He started making faces, playing with his hands, everything just came together! I hope you enjoy. :)

This is a new favorite Photo. Kids will be kids, and boys will be boys. Its just putting all these things together.

Run Run Issac! He's so stoked to be running!

Four Brothers.

I had my mom take a few shot of me with my bro's. This happened. I love this little guy!

Thanks,
Nathaniel
