Goin Fishin'.
Last night's fishing trek.
Austin Young, Krister Ralles and I went down to my secret spot to catch some catfish, instead, we caught Sturgeon! We weren't expecting that..
Ay with his. Lil guy, but it looked so cool! He got the first one. It was a huge surprise! I thought suckers or maybe even a complete skunk was going to be all we were in for.
Beauty.
then i got this guy.. leangth of my arm, 4-5 pounds.. really neat fish,
and the first of it's type I have ever caught.
hoya!
The best part was seeing my good friends and talking about the season to come! Krister and Austin both have a lot going for them these days in the midwest scene. I can't wait to see 'Convoy' (Bald-e-gal) with a heavy Kritter Brick part! I guess we'll fish and work till the snow flies.
till then.

The Etnies TF. Small edit.
My good friend Jordan Smalls killin it!!
Sadly, this TF is no longer... Due to economy and downsizing and all, Etnies had to close down this building. I'm very proud to say that I spent a bit of time in there over the years, and shot some of my favorite photos of friends here. Even lucky enough to have skated it a few times.
I guess when it comes down to it all this means you should support the brands you love. Etnies is still independently owned. Thats saying a lot for these times. If your dreams have anything to do with boardsports I believe it is important to understand that you can't expect to support corporations, and still get the same love from them as you would a real family. Etnies, 32, 'Es, Altamont, and Emerica are all part of a real family(sol tech). Learn about these things and learn to SUPPORT it. Who knows, maybe one day they'll be able to give you a little love back.

This time, I'll take the train.
Check this out.. you can go to a lot of places on a train, and it's way cheaper than flying, so, why not?
I'm down with train rides. It isn't the fastest way to travel, but it is cheap and very easy. Plus, you get all the scenery of the landscape with out always thinking about the road. Pretty cool if you ask me.
I'm in DC right now. Just got back from a walk around the Capital and a few other monuments in the area. It's a neat place, to bad it's full of crooks and thieves.
Be back in MN soon.
Till then.

Florida life.
Lizards and crazy looking spiders.
The Lizard was in a mini ramps coping, and that spider built a web for us to walk through every morning, right outside the front door.

Fishing in the Gulf Stream.
Start of my morning on Saturday. Blake, Austin, and I got to go out fishing on Austin's Dad's boat.
It was sick for sure. I had never gone fishing like that, in about 1,200ft of water, 15 miles off shore, we were using top water baits catching these dolphin fish.
They're a cool fish. Really awesome when they jet through the water flashing their colors. Bright green in the deep blue.
Austin with one of his. This is a tiny guy.
I was informed that a dolphin grows up to 40lbs the first four months of it's life.
Our catch.
That is not a bloody cooler.
Dinner.
Fish Tacos.
Thanks to Erik and Austin for taking me out on the boat!

ESM.
After last weeks swell with Blake, it was straight to the grind with the photos. One landed here.

Just Swimming.
I got to dive around in the big blue yesterday... So amazing.
The waves have been pretty pathetic, so I'm sticking to other ocean activities for now.
My friend Chelsea got a new water housing and we are going to have a bit more fun with it I think..

A few shots from past swell, Florida.
A pretty good idea of this past swell. It all got interesting at the ferry.
On to islands and up the coast, chasing waves.
We found a couple.
I wish i knew who this is... any help? I have a sequence worth looking at.
Blake kickin it on what I think could be compared to Trestles.
No, not wave wise, but, a good chill spot.
get gnarly.
poppin back ones all day.
The scene was enough for me. Mushy close outs didn't matter.
Blake found out a good barrel. I was caught off guard...
The remainder.
If this was regular, it would have been better than it's best.
Awesome.
The sunsets were insane. I'd go back for one any day.
A last glimpse at something kinda frustrating.
A swell left us for dead in the water.
It came in as a macking close out.
Ow.
