new groove.

Here in Florida and there really isn't too much going on. This is the first photo I've shot in over a week, but gotta admit, I'm enjoying the break. It's pretty amazing around here.. ocean and land everywhere makes St. Petersburg beautiful.

Surf is blowing it up!!!

Porter Hogan is a relentless marketer. He won't quite until he gets the results he wants. Yah porter.

That Baja trip is really starting to pay off these days! If Porter keeps this up I might be able to shoot surf for a living... I guess we'll all find out.

Wild Fest 2012!!!

Dood. Somethings krister does amaze me, and well, everyone else that sees it.
Kritter tried a back rodeo out of the water skipping pool.. he was going sooo fast and it turned into a massive rodeo to the flats with a near decapitation involved. That guy down by spungebob nearly felt what it would be like to get kritter stomped. Thankfully however, that didn't happen and everyone is ok. Slightly shocked, but still ok. And yah, Wild Mountain had a slush fest this last weekend! And boy was it slushy out there! It was the perfect ending to such an odd but super fun season. Temps were in the 80's here in MN this March making winter come to a very abrupt end. To be honest, it wasn't much of a winter at all.. but at least we had places like Wild to shred all season.

little Garrett McKenzie came out for the festivities and last day of riding. And yep, he wore a girls tanktop the whole day.

Ski Patrol tried their hand at water skipping.. and I learned that I'd rather bail out of the cart than ever try to go through a massive puddle, cause that thing hits water and sinks. Still entertaining to see!

Erik Ralles knew what was up.
Water skipping should be done in a wetsuit, even if it is on backwards..

Krister coming in behind his older brother and taking a front side slash, soaking his mom to the bone.. what a son.

Next came Austin who also prefers a good frontside slasher.

...and this is the effects of that! soaked crowd! Good thing it was 80 degrees and the crowd actually enjoyed getting soaked. It's like seas world.

Triples!!
Shane Hoschette, Cole Linzmeyer, and Erik Ralles!

making a mess of things..

On the small parks towrope a real water skipping course marks the end of this season.

After the day was over I stuck around to bask in the sun and take a few last glances.
Tow rope was so beat up after. Yah, we held on that rope as it drug us up that.. crazy fun times.

A canyon dug out right where you'd want to be on your way up.
Treacherous spot on days like this, but pretty cool.

See ya next year snow. I'm off to warmer temps.. ?? and beaches!!! :)
I've wrapped this winter up and am on my way to Florida tomorrow.
Going to see my girl, give her a big hug!, and get on with the next adventures life brings me.

Stay tuned!! and thanks for such a great winter Minnesota!!
peace.

Mo' Post Season at Wild.

Wild Mountain. Melting in 80 degree weather.
Strange year...

Two parks and a limitless amount of fun.

Though it may not look like much, with a little shovel work and a few creative minds this place is a gold mine. There's enough speed to make big gaps or perfect transfer rails while getting at least your three hits per run in. Add in the tow rope and thats easily a few hundred tries at whatever it is you could be trying, all in one afternoon. After this season I'm now positive that we have not even came close to unlocking the potential behind this little park. Most fun place ever.

Austin Young, Krister Ralles and myself have been pushing shovels at Wild for at least a decade now. It's our stomping grounds for progressive snowboarding. Funny that even after fifteen years of riding here none of us are sick of it. We haven't even had the chance to really make it what it could be yet, but this spring is showing us that Wild can be more than great park.

Hits all the way down the side wall.
So EPIC!!

Cole Linzmeyer's idea for the day was to put this rail on the middle jump, Sam Duncan putting in some shovel time. Enough lify's, action shots for days.

Austin Young.

Danimals.

Brandon Larson.

Cole Linzmeyer.

Krister Ralles.

Jake Olson-Elm: *Sniche* tripods.

Sam Duncan.

Kritter can't help but get upside down.

Back to the little park. Let the fun begin.

Sam Fenton and crew.

Alek Binder.

Chris Murphy!

Riley Erickson also made sure to put in some carves and lip slides in-between shooting.

Keepin it close.. the midwest way.

Back Lip!
Had to go B&W. Check out these clouds!
like summer out here...

O E sending it deep.

Jist of the day.
It was so hard to not shred the whole time. Who wants to shoot when it's this nice out?
Had to get a blog edit I guess... A million more and much better tricks went down than I have photos of.. but, I was snowboarding. There'll be an edit from Sam and Riley someday, I'll try to post that also.

Thanks to Wild and everyone who came out.
Awesome day.

Thanks for checkin in.
